Go-Go Boots would be the stickler. Certainly weak for them, if not necessarily a "bad" album.

I always like Woke Up With A Monster, great power pop album. You're All I Wanna Do, I Didn't Know I Had It, Girlfriends, Never Run Out Of Love, Tell Me Everything are all solid. To me, there wasn't much filler, maybe Cry Baby and Ride The Pony...the rest are good. Much better than The Doctor. I think CT '97 is a comeback of sorts because they hit a patch with record companies and went away for a bit.

  4. And Yellow Submarine also isn't especially weak or bad.

Agree but the legacy of the past can be a burden in the future. :)

It wasn't that clear to me.

Ok, so if you don't like it, why include The Clash in your list of 'bands that have never released a bad or weak album'

  9. Nah! It was pretty good. Especially compared to most other band's releases.

The Clash without Mick are not The Clash.

I didn't mentioned Pink Floyd because without Waters (and Wright BTW) the Floyd are not the Floyd, therefore touché.

Someone asked about solo artists, and that's why I mentioned her.

Anyone said Guided by Voices yet? I can't name any bad GBV albums, though the Pollard catalogue as a whole is a different story. Guess some will say Do the Collapse but I wouldn't agree.

Wire, yep. GO4, hmm...There was Hard, and the reunion efforts have been pretty spotty. And I sure hope Andy Gill doesn't make an album with the palooka lineup he's got.

Has anyone said Simon & Garfunkel yet? One of the bands/groups that ended on a high note for sure.
