    Prince's Purple Rain!

Actually, reissues of EVERYTHING Prince (with remasters of everything before 2000 or so). And all the projects he produced, too!

I'll state the obvious: the individual Beatles albums.

Yeild or No Code Pearl Jam box set(s). And yeah, I agree w/ the Peter Gabriel suggestion. Overdue for deluxe Pavement Terror Twilight edition too!

There is a 4 disc set called Anthology which is pretty good.

For me it's got to be Van Morrison....

A consistent-sounding, well-mastered set of ZZ Top's 70s catalog and outtakes etc. Am I wrong, or are we not still waiting on a few of those remasters?

    I hope this isn't a stupid question.

I adore the Beatles and own the stereo box set, the Anthologies, all three BBC sets, LOVE, LIB...N, and a few other odds & sods (and I listen to 'em all the time). Frankly, it doesn't feel to me like there's too much more of interest in the Beatles vaults. Am I terribly wrong? I know a ton of bootlegs exist, but the bits I've come across or sought out just haven't been too interesting.

That being said, if they did deluxe editions of every album, I'd buy each set in a heartbeat.

Good call. There's certainly enough B-sides, outtakes, live recordings, collaborations etc. to make a great bonus disc for each of his albums. I think he's made some stuff available through his website, but there's nothing like a box set to have it all in one place.

Also, I wish there could be definitive Elvis Costello reissues. The Rhino sets came very close, but there's still some stuff missing that's on other versions. What a mess his catalog is.

Eeek and of course the awful 80s remixes/masters/recuts of the 70s albums should be banned now and forever.

That and he appeals to the crowd that still spends money on things like CD box sets.
