Searching for an album title, Ringo must have glanced at his bookshelf...

You know, I was just thinking the same thing. In fact, I just looked at the "Ringo" section of my bookshelf and saw a whole bunch of Ringo CDs that I barely remember. I do know I liked the Choose Love CD (and I got a promo button with it---yippee!!), but I really can't tell the difference among all of the others.

But I'm glad that he's a working musician. Music is his life, so good for him.

The last line of the Rory song is:

"I wasn't there when he was born either."

"...listen to for a few days" ...??? How about listen once, perhaps twice?
The part the scared me the most was "original songs".

I found the lyrics to "Not Looking Back":

    I made a resolution for 2015
Used to be nostalgic but I'm changing my scene
The future looks great, so let's all get on track
From now on I vow, I'm not looking back

Seeking new adventures is my only goal
Just like the Beatles when we made Rubber Soul
We'd been doing the puppy love thing for a while
And we made the decision to switch up our style
Now 50 years later, I'm doing the same
Used to reminisce, but I'm out of that game

I'm stepping into tomorrow and it won't make me choke up
Unlike my tears when the Beatles broke up
That was such a sad time, full of difficulty
As Paul played us off with the words "Let it be"
I hated to see him argue with John
But that's all in the past, I've completely moved on

I live for the moment, I'm full speed ahead
That's something my friend George Harrison said
I know what you're thinking, but you've gotta believe me
    I promise I won't reference "It Don't Come Easy"
I've gotten by in my life with a little help from my friends
But that was back then, now the remembering ends

So just in case it isn't perfectly clear
I'll reiterate: I'm a changed man this year
I'm re-recording "No No Song" with a verse about crack
To prove once and for all that I'm not looking back

    Ha, this is brilliant!

Just don't let Ringo see these lyrics, or you will be hearing them on his next album. :D

I also noticed that the CD comes out at the end of March. BUT the vinyl LP won't be out until June. Is he expecting fans to hold out that long? Or maybe the ones who bought the CD in March will have forgotten they bought and listened enough to the CD; whereupon they will repurchase the vinyl LP in June, thinking that it is a completely new album.

If they're that far gone, it probably will be. :)

I'll buy it. I mean, why not? I'll give it a listen. I've never found any of his albums to be bad, if just not engaging or requiring a second listen. I'm a crazy completist! I just wonder how long of an album it will be. The last one was 28 minutes. In comparison, I've collected 44 minutes of songs by or featuring Ringo released in 2012 through 2014.

I would like to see your Ringo 2012-2014 collection/compilation. What songs does it include?

I know he played on a couple songs on Joe Walsh's last album (2012). That's about 8 minutes. Only 36 to go! :)

    OKAY

I'll throw in Walk With You, Time, Can't Do It Wrong and Everyone Wins from Ritchie's Y Not album way back in 2010!

Ringo's albums get forgotten (quickly) but for my money Y Not and Choose Love are career highlights!

Y Not is a great album!

Thanks for posting, I had no idea about quite a few of these. I will have to get them, especially the Gary Wright song.

Have to say that to this day, I always get that little trickle of hope that Ringo will release a gem like he did for me many times before. I thought I might reach "Ringo Nirvana" with "Y Not" but alas, it never happened. I do like "Mystery Of The Night" very much.

So, yeah. Once again, I am looking forward to yet another CD from Ognir Rrats. Even if it stinks, I like the fact that it will be released on vinyl as well. That brings out the true Beatle Geek Collector in me.

In fact, as much as I loathe "Ringo Rama", I wish it had a vinyl release as I love the artwork. Too bad I can't say the same about the music nor it's production/mastering.
