Generally, the koolaide is consumed prior to purchase. We start mainlining it post-purchase. ;)

I'm (Shindo) green with envy! That's some good s**t there, my man. You thinking of the Shindo Garrard too?

Well, there is probably some Oakville devotees who would laugh at your high school classification. Just because it isn't your style doesn't make you an authority.

Respectfully not certain what you are on about here captwillard. I do not know anything about Oakville and do not recall having made any comments about. I merely informed Brian that I do not have an interest in big full bodied wines (not my style of wine) and therefore could not recommend anything. There is absolutely nothing wrong in liking big full bodied wine. I don't recall claiming to be an authority and what exactly is my high school classification?

It was an odd post by the Captain. Some light bodied pinot must have got up his nose.

I agree but I am not too crazy about the oval name badge thing on the front.

Agree with that. Too big and (for me) an unattractive font.

Another preamp that has writing in that pretentious style that really bugs me is the big MBL preamp, but in this case it's really overdone.

The Shindo pieces are very attractive to my eyes. Nothing pretentious about them. They may be pretentious if their sound didn't live up to their lovely exterior. You can afford to talk it if you can bring it. Just sayin'.

You misunderstood my comment - I was only referring to the font used in the writing of the name in the oval badge area. Such a small point, I know.

I am not sure what you're really saying but if someone offered me one at a good price I'd buy it. I also never heard one, but I'd like to.

I'm also not a fan of gold or silver chrome knobs.

Cool. I am hoping to get the new CAT preamp sometime in the future.

I like that look. I also like the looks of the Shindo equipment.

I will probably do a new TT next year, but not sure if it will be the Shindo Garrard. I might save my pennies for a few years and get something crazy.

Once I get the amp, I will probably upgrade my cartridge first. Then I'm going to save up for the Shindo Field Coil Latours. Matt's giving me 100% credit on the 604's when I trade up, so it might take awhile but I'd like to have the Latours. As good as the 604's sound, their no match for the Latours. :)

I hadn't noticed the script much until you guys pointed it out. It's definitely a bit pretentious I guess. I used to not like Gold anywhere either, but it's everywhere in my new house. I pretty much designed the place to complement the Shindo gear. Yes, I'm that deranged. :)

One of the benefits of rearranging my listening room that was a bit unexpected is how much better the speakers look in the light coming in from my windows that are now directly behind my listening position. Really brings out how beautiful the wood grain is on these obviously understated speakers.

Best pic I can get on my iPhone.
