Just saw Bjork's "Biophilia Live," screened at a local theater. Amazing. Will it become my favorite concert film? I don't know. But it is amazing music-making, especially Manu Delgado's percussion, which it really helps to see.

There are some showings in various places over the next month or so (check it out here: http://www.biophiliathefilm.com/), and then it will come out on disc.

Queen - Live at The Rainbow (BD) ... Best image possible from a videotaped source circa '74 (looks better than it should) & the recorded sound is nothing short of remarkable.

I really like the Woodstock movie, but my biggest beef with it is the style that musical performers were shown on film in that time era; With the camera right in their face. Minutes and minutes of footage of the one person singing and almost nothing of the band playing behind them or other things happening on the stage. ie. No perspective.

great! Thanks...the time says 57 minutes? I though t it was longer than that when I saw it on PBS years ago..it wasn't shown during the pledge drive. IMDB has it timed at 82 minutes...HUH?

The run time in the Amazon listing is wrong. The back of the DVD case says 83 minutes.

I love this one too. It does look better than it should considering the video source and yes, it sounds really good.

Woodstock for the fun of it.

Roger Waters - In the Flesh. The best sounding concert film ever and the picture and visuals are just amazing.

    +1 for beloved invaders

Two more: Let the Good Times Roll. Have not seen it in years, but the striking thing about it is that the acts are still mostly in their thirties. The scenes with Bo cooking chicken in the motel room and Little Richard's drummer tantrum need to be seen; cannot do them justice with a description.

Jazz on a Summer Day. Newport Jazz circa 1957. 1950s Woodstock.

Ditto, builds beautifully, love it when the whole band with the backup singers finally kicks in, great great movie....and I prefer these versions of the songs over the studio versions, for the most part...

Out on a limb here, but I really liked U2's Rattle & Hum. I know many feel U2 were being rather pompous, but I just like it for what it is.
