So, which classic Alice Cooper album, performed by the original band, do you feel was their crowning achievement? I've always been torn between Love it to Death, Killer and Billion Dollar Babies. Although I feel the production of BDB is overall better than all the others, my vote goes to Killer. The songs are all winners in my book, from the rolling "Under My Wheels" and "You Drive Me Nervous", to the longer pieces "Halo of Flies" and "Killer".

What is your feeling on this great American band?

I had to vote for Muscle of Love just because no one else will. :) It's my favourite but the pinnacle is probably Love It To Death.

also should add, not the pinnacle, but easy action is terribly underated.

Same here. Great tunes on BDB: Unfinished Sweet is classic, No More Mister Nice Guy, Elected, Raped and Freezin'.

I voted Killer but for me it's always been a 1,2,3 punch with Killer, Schools Out and Billion Dollar Babies.

Yes, me too, Killer is one of the most solid heavy metal albums ever made. I even like 'Yeah Yeah Yeah' precisely because of what obvious filler it is.

Killer is one of my favorite albums of the 70s. I love all of the Alice Cooper "band" albums, but Killer has the perfect balance of darkness and great songwriting.

"Pretties For You" was what the original Alice Cooper Group was all about.
Too bad that the mix was not all that it could have been. IMHO "Love It To Death"
was their commercial peak, although "Killer" is also great and there are
a lot of worthwhile songs on every album up through "Muscle Of Love".

BDB is the one I voted for...but it could have very easily been Killer. I really love that run from LITD-MOL.

Killer IMO. As good as BDB is, it's not nearly as powerful as Killer. Halo of Flies is a classic.

Love it to Death gets my vote. Side 2 is their master piece that pretty much tracks straight through.

Killer is a close second IMO.
