Nah, see the thing is nobody knows yet what, if any, connection the 1998 tape find has to the new boxset, and any posts connecting the two are just speculation. They're releasing seven full shows from fall '72, which is a lot more than the paltry three shows listed above (the Feb 72 stuff with Bruford looks like it's not gonna be a part of the set). So clearly some other developments have transpired since then.

The box they are holding in the 3 last FB pics look like a multitrack tape box... unless they put all the 1/4" tapes on top of each other in it. The first one seems thinner and has "Dolby safety" on it.

So the only picture we have of the set shows Disc 3 as being the National Arts Centre, Ottawa show from November 1st.

    So:
    1) If that is representative of the final product (would a test be printed up yet?)
    2) If the concerts are presented in chronological order
    3) If the Maple Leaf Gardens show is therefore Disc 1&2

    - then perhaps there are no early 72 Bruford shows.

Won't stop me buying this though!

    Very excited about this!

will this give yes as many live releases as studio releases?

if not, it has to be real darn close.

I'm pleased to see that there will be a more affordable two disc version. Given that there wasn't much variation in their set list from night to night, seven complete shows from the same tour might be overkill for me, but it's cool to be getting more live material from their peak years. (I'm still hoping that we get some recordings featuring BB, though this appears not to be the case.)

So, do we know if these are multitracked? "Reel-to-reel" sounds like the could be board recordings. That will influence if I consider the full box or the 2 disc version. It is easy enough to place the Amazon preorder for the box to lock in the price in the event the list price rises and cancel later.

I'm a bit worry about that reel-to-reel bit too. And there is this strange tradition with Yes live albums: The only official Yes live recording that hasn't disappointed me sound wise is Yesshows.

Hoping these recordings are not compressed. 1972...what a great year for live music...the Stones and the Dead...and now Yes.

Thanks for the info. I looked again and it was back up and available from Amazon vendors cheaper than my original pre-order price. I ordered from a vendor I've bought from before, and it'll ship from the US, not overseas.

I am so used to nowadays ,where Steve has many guitars and you can clearly hear each one ,unlike some of these older muddy ones ,now he uses some solid body guitar syn on a stand which sounds like a acoustic
