I definitely think it was real. Madonna isn't a good enough actress to pull something like that off.

It's a good job she is so fit, not many people could have recovered and composed themselves as quickly as she did and continue with her performance. If you think about how many of these elaborate and complicated live performance pieces Madonna has staged at awards ceremonies over the past 30 years I suppose something like this was bound to happen sooner or later.

Lol at all the satanic looking symbolism. Yeah ok we get it...we get it...it's dark...it's serious...it's art.

Maybe someone on her staff tied it too tight on purpose?

I think the automatic response when you fall (if you're not too badly hurt, of course) is to spring back up like nothing's happened. I slipped in the fields the other day whilst walking the dog. I went down with quite a thump, but I jumped back up quickly thinking, 'hope nobody saw that!' It was probably something like that for her! Though in her case, millions did see!

It's lucky she wasn't badly hurt. Bet she's glad she spent the last 30 years in the gym now!

Well, you never know! Madonna has been vile to people all her career. It's probably why there's been so little genuine sympathy for her over this. I can think of few 'modern' stars with a worse reputation than her for rudeness and bad behaviour. She makes Mariah Carey look like Audrey Hepburn.

Wonder if her whole crew was hiding when she came off stage?

Has she? Did she ever say something bad about other people? Source?

Is Madonna falling at all her performances now? I'm trying to decide whether to buy tickets for her upcoming Miami show.

Well, she supposedly took credit for Ingrid Chavez' writing on Justify My Love, didn't she? Then there's her wonderful behavior on Truth Or Dare. The rest is probably just filling in the pieces.

Are you serious? Madonna is careful with what she says in the press but she but can be absolutely vile in person. Cher called her a c*** in an interview regarding her behaviour to other people. People working with her on that stupid useless flop film she directed a couple of years ago were instructed not to make eye contact with her. People were given colour coded cards, how close you got to be around her depended on the colour of your card. These are fellow professionals.
Madonna may be talented with a fantastic career behind her and made some great records, but as a person she leaves a lot to be desired.

A very natural looking Madonna announces her world tour with one of her most convincing acting performances.

A surprising number of musicians and celebrities insist on the 'no eye contact' rule. I'm not sure what they're so frightened of seeing when they look in our eyes. Pathetic, slavering jealousy?

Or perhaps their afraid of what we will see in their's. A pathetic, slavering humanity? I can understand instructing electricians to not go up to her or even stare at her, but saying not to look into her eyes is kind of cleopatra-like bizarre.
