1952 - Anthology Of American Folk Music - 6 album set compiled by Harry Smith - this was an extremely important musical , sociological and cultural release which heavily influenced much of what came later in the 60s and 70s.
    And it still resonates.

Steve Miller's Abracadabra was released the day I was born, but that's lame. I'll go with these:

Some "albums" were a set of 78's back then, or a 10" Lp. 1955 was a cultural crossover year. Here's to all of us who turn 60 this year!

I'm one of the younger ones on this forum, or so I believe.

But I was born in September of 1991, the release month of "Nevermind" by Nirvana, and "Use Your Illusion I & II" by Guns N' Roses. I discovered this around age 18, but had grown up loving both Nirvana and GNR

Revolver was No. 1 when I was born, though if I had my choice for my album of that year I'd pick I Fought the Law or Monkees' debut.

Im not sure why my earlier post from page #9 does not have the image anymore, it must have been vanished somehow.
Seems, that there were actually many really great albums released in the year that I was born (1978) , but I only decided to pick one here for you.
So, in retrospect, think of this only as a little teaser from the year:
