I bought a NEW OLD STOCK JVC QL-A200 from http://www.vintagehomeaudio.com/ since it was on sale for 50% off. $184 shipped to USA.
I replaced the conical stylus with an EVG AT-11 green elliptical. I got the overhang to as close to 32mm as my old bifocal eyes can do :sigh:
    Wow and flutter: 0.025% wrms
    Signal to noise ratio: 78dB

It works and sounds great. Much better bass than the Pioneer PL-10 which I had previously.

Very similar to some early Sony models. Excellent find. Enjoy.

The cartridge mounting screws were too long (the other set I had was too short) to go the other way, they were interfering with the stylus body. So that's why I have the "horns" on the headshell.

That's a bad idea. You don't want to go to all that hassle and expense. You can just ship the LP's to me and I'll take care of them for you. :edthumbs:

That was my first turntable back in the day. Awesome to see you found some NOS. Very cool! :righton:

I wonder how the old caps on that TT are holding. 32 years and never used ! OTOH congrats for a good nice new TT.

I would try the supplied spherical at 2.25g if it's an AT original (should be). After 10-15 break-in time it should give a sweet and mellow sound that tracks very well. I do love the crisp, razor sharp dynamics of the ATS11e (green) as well though. There are plenty of interchangeable styli available for your cartridge - spherical, elliptical, shibata, should you wish to try them. Enjoy!

Why do you have to provide personal information when registering on their site just to view what they have? That's kind of ridiculous.

Never mind, it doesn't look like you have to (though that's what they say on their home page).

    Where there's a power supply...there are caps.
