I always think it's weird when people have fancy production values in youtube videos.

I can't believe I wasted time listening to that guy. The patronizing attitude that somehow Neil Young doesn't understand that you can buy vinyl and concert it to flac files is insufferable.

A poorly edited and redundant video that added nothing new to the debate. He misses the irony of blogging his self-important opinions while chiding Neil Young for lecturing to people. Why would I give any weight to his thoughts about music and audio reproduction? I'm 100% certain that Neil Young knows more about music and sound reproduction than that cyber-windbag troll.

Nothing like jumping on the bandwagon being draw by a flogged, dead horse. Why did I watch the same crap I've been listening to over and over? Not that I don't agree, but what's your point, pal? Why should Neil Young listening to some simp bitching about what Neil Young should do?

I listened to his crap. The dude is so wrong and misguided on so many things. I'll bet he has never even heard hi-rez music. He just goes by the opinion of whomever he is disposed of believing. And, if he knew what he was talking about, he would know that Mr. Young doesn't set the prices. The record labels do.

I'm so damn sick of these non-audiophiles running their mouth off about stuff they can't hear or understand.

If he isn't already a member here, or reads this forum, i'm sure one of us will tip him off to this thread.

And, it makes me wonder: why do people protest hi-rez so hard? What are they afraid is going to happen? That's the strange thing.

Some other chimps that popped up on the internet got my attention for a considerably longer time:
..not much longer than the Evolution Revolution part to be honest, but this chimp experience doesn't have quite as bad of an aftertaste as the NY cry baby.

Really, I just want him to stay healthy into his 70's to keep making music and doing what he wants. He may be (very) contrary and he may be (very) frustrating at times but that is why he is what he is and where a lot of his greatness comes from. If Neil was a straightforward, reasonable conciliatory guy he'd probably be just another pretty good 70's singer/songwriter playing to a few hundred folk in a club, touring his back catalogue to small devoted audience. You have got to take the rough with the smooth with Neil, however annoying that may be.

    The second sentence should read:

The patronizing attitude that somehow Neil Young doesn't understand that you can buy vinyl and convert it to flac files, is insufferable.

  23. I stopped listening to or caring about what Neil Young says, sings, or releases these days. There is something rather distasteful about the prices he charges for his LP's when he bangs on like a petulant child about sound quality and poor CD quality. Oh yes, I forgot, his music for the past two decades has been pretty dismal too. Neil Young has turned me completely off Neil Young!
