The Staves are a British trio of sisters from Watford, Hertfordshire, England...beautiful vocal harmonies. Here's a new song...I love it >>>

Their second album will be released in 2015 (pre-order will be available from Jan 2015). It was produced by Justin Vernon (lead singer of Bon Iver).

    Here's a wonderful mini-documentary >>>

The Staves were the opening act for Angus and Julia Stone yesterday.
It was incredible...they also played their new single "Blood I Bleed".

There are a couple of songs which could have sounded better with more dynamic range.
In my listening experience songs start to sound too compressed at DR7 and lower. DR8/DR9 is the transition.
DR10 and higher is what I prefer (dynamic sound, no ear fatigue while listening).

Does anybody know if the versions of songs on their singles are different to the album releases? There are some songs that only appear on singles (see below) but do any of the album tracks use different versions?

    The Fire [Facing West EP]
    I Try [Mexico - Single]
Open, America, Open - Justin Vernon Remix [Blood I Bled EP]

I discovered The Staves from the film

    From Austin to Boston

    On NETFLIX

A road trip of British musicians going in a fleet of micro buses
    From SXSW to the northeast

Rushed out and bought all the albums and the ep on vinyl and cd

I totally loved their first two albums as well as their earlier first Ep, but their new one, their 3rd album, left me cold. Too modern, too slick, too cold.

Go back to the earlier, uncluttered simple sound and sweet songs with those lovely sister harmonies please.

I remember seeing them a few years ago opening for, of all people, the writer Malcom Gladwell. Spine tingling harmonies.
