Does Anyone Recognize this person...?

Does anyone know who is in this photo with Berry Gordy, Sr., Marvin Gaye, and Stevie Wonder? It looks like a lot of people (eg. Michael McDonald?) Circa 1975?



I work at a photo archive and have been trying to positively ID him, but need to be fairly certain before I can caption it. It's on-line somewhere as Richard Manuel but not him either. Any help would be appreciated. It's possible he's not even famous and just happened to be in the photo....

could it be the guy holding the trumpet above. pic circa 1971 funk brothers who played on marvins' what's going on release of same year.

 

He does have that look, like someone I've seen a hundred times...

Not convinced that is Berry Gordy either.

 

Definitely not Bob Seger. I think it probably is Manuel after I've looked at several known pictures of him and his Motown ties.

 

My first thought was Carl Wilson. Doesn't quite look like Richarc Manuel but could be.

Thanks so far guys. It's a tough one. Don't think it's that trumpet player and this is Richard Manuel, doesn't look like him at all, and this is a fairly conservative shot of him, usually he looks pretty crazy:

 

It's Berry Gordy, Sr., not Jr. who we see more often...

 

That doesn't look like Berry Gordy.

 

I think it's Richard Manuel. This picture shows eye and lower lip similarities. The low angle hides the shape of his nose.

Yeah, I think you're right about Gordy, my mistake, forget his name but do recognize him.

 

Why not use the social media available ? Post the picture outside of this forum in addition, and see if we don't get an answer ?

Looks a bit like Brent Mydland. And in the second photo like Charley Manson..

 

No, it's not, is no one looking at the eyes ??? He looks more like Dave Hope of Kansas, than he does Manuel.
