But Richard never wore his beard like that (walrus moustache style)..I am sure it is not him. Bushy eyebrows and dark sad eyes are key features of RM also missing here.

Looks like the drummer for Lynyrd Skynyrd

 

I am thinking he is likely one of the Motown studio musicians, one of the guys that played with Dennis Coffey.
It doesn't look like Dennis Coffey.

 

It also might be a member or Rare Earth.

I recognize that guy, but can't place his name. I just watched some of the first season of Saturday Night a while back, and it seems he was on there with Steve Cropper playing guitar backing up a black artist, I cannot remember who. If he is who I think he is, I am thinking guitarist. He isn't Duck Dunn.

 

The guy on the left is Don King and the white guy was his latest prospect.

Either that or the white guy is Stevie's assistant.

That doesn't look like Eddie in the OP's photo. My guess is "no". This photo is clearly from the mid 70's, and I don't think Eddie would've been hanging around in such circles. Rare Earth, as great as they were, were never on Motown's "A" list. In the mid 70's Eddie had a full beard, and this mystery man appears to only have a bushy goatee.



That's also not Berry Gordy Sr. (aka "Pops"). Here is Pops Gordy...in the middle:
