I'd vote for Brent Mydland and Richard Manuel first before I'd vote for Michael Sembello.

 

It looks like Jeff Ayeroff, who worked at A&M, Warner, Virgin and Sony Music.

 

Almost looks like Bob Weir.

 

What about the dude 2nd from the left from Average White Band?

They were popular around 1975.

I don't know.. I'm grasping at straws ... but is it Dave Clark from the Dave Clark Five? The documentary on them on PBS featured interviews with Stevie Wonder who seemed to be friends with him.

I haven't changed my thoughts about tall bearded white guy, but I went back to the OPs photo and and guy on the far left is Quincy Jones.

 

I think that picture pretty much seals the deal. Big guy lurking in the background all of the time with that type of look on his face must be there to bust heads if anyone gets funny.

No, it's not Richard Manuel. This thread is proof positive that eye-witness ID's in criminal trials should be taken with a serious grain of salt.

 

This photo states this is Leon Ware with Gaye, but I'm not buying that.
