Hi. Sorry for the late reply. I have not got the book yet, but it is on my 'books to buy list'. Thanks for reminding me, as I need to get it, because it looks like it will be a big help. Thanks again for the suggestion.
Haven't read the whole thread so apologies if this has been posted before. The Pixies - Wild Honey Pie

I just came across the Hill-Wiltschinsky Guitar Duo, who have 4 albums of Beatles covers. Amazon lists the songs of all 4 volumes, but doesn't have samples. (I spot checked the list, and didn't see them listed.) Hastings has volume one, with samples. I did not read all 30 pages so please forgive me if someone beat me to it. Here is a cover that actually charted the year I was a freshman in high school: Birthday by Underground Sunshine
Speaking of Beatles covers that charted, I've noticed a trend. Nearly every charted cover is all but forgotten by oldies radio. In some cases the covers were played on the radio first. Here is my list of forgotten cover hits: "You Got to Hide Your Love Away" The Silkie "Fool on the Hill" Sergio Mendez and Brazil '66 "Michelle" David and Jonathan "Birthday" Underground Sunshine "Ticket to Ride" Carpenters
