That's pretty amazing. Him having a voice that was bar band worn and being able to still sing that high is great.

 

And he still sings those songs. In their original key. Sure his voice has a different timbre now but his range has remained.

 

Absolutely! Especially if we could get some releases that focused more on those types of "extended jam" songs!
The currently available live CCR material is decent, but most of it is just carbon-copy performances of the studio versions.

 

I have this on an "unnoficial" DVD. They are playing Heard It Through The Grapevine in a studio. But it's not the long version.

 

Here's I Heard It Through the Grapevive - CCR 22 May 1972 and John Fogerty 19 October 2013. The 22 May 1972 concert was the last live performance by Creedence Clearwater Revival. In less than five months they would disband.

Wow. I knew the Jimi Hendrix Experience played its last-ever concert here in Denver, but I didn't know CCR did also.
