    Yeahhhhh.

    Thanks for that.

Where do you get the code from? I never seem to get any codes via email.

I scooped this one from a thread over at Vinyl Collective forums. No idea how that person got it. I get catalogs and emails left and right from them and they never have the codes either.

Yeah, the one I looked at (Blakey Moanin') was priced at $58.98, marked "down" to $48.95, whereas MM offers them at $34.95.

I think what is going on is that Music Matters offers these 33rpm titles to other sellers at full retail only. So for other retailers to make any profit they need to mark them up more. The one other place I've seen them is on Amazon, where MM is offering them for $34.95 and Amazon offers a few for higher prices, e.g. $40 and up.

I guess the take-home message is to order directly through MM. I'd love to find these 33rpm titles cheaper than $34.95. But I also want this venture to be profitable enough for MM that they keep the 33rpm program going. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't hold out much hope that we'll see these discounted any time soon.

Don't know if you all have bothered, but be sure to check out ccvinyl.com as well.

I loaded up on a bunch of Bowie titles last week for a few bucks cheaper WITHOUT a code a ccvinyl than I could have gotten them WITH one at ccmusic.

edit: Matter of fact, my order without a code at either site for the same items would have worked out like this (both include shipping): ccmusic - $163.69 / ccvinyl - $127.95

I can never find anything that is a deal at this site even with these codes/discounts. Still seems more expensive that importcds.com for anything that I'm interested in.

    How is their return policy?

Specifically if I were to buy The Beatles Mono Box set and 1-2 records had defects. Would they exchange the whole set or just those records? Music Direct is local to me and will exchange specific records that are defected but we are talking $250 vs $320. ..

Music direct would be a whole lot less hassle I'm sure. If I were you, I'd go with MD on the mono box to be safe. ccmusic's returns can be kind of long and drawn out. While they are pretty easy to deal with over the phone, I've dealt with language barriers with their customer service. Orders and returns can be a headache with them at times.

Agreed. It took me almost two months to get a refund for a badly damaged LP awhile back.

    CC music is funny.

Often it is worth comparing stuff with their other site importCDs. Sometimes it will be cheaper at importcds even with the CCmusic discounts. Also international freight is cheaper at importcds of the bigger box set items.
