This is a great 80s video:

 

In 1989, this one caused Pepsi to pull their sponsorship from Madonna due to those burning crosses. The African American fella in the video ended up in the HBO series, OZ.

Where's Sledgehammer, All She Wants To Do Is Dance?

Anybody notice it's a single-tracked Collins for the verses and the sound effects are missing?

Please don't say, "there you go again" in response.

 

I think this one won the first MTV Video of the year award. I remember Don Henley accepting the award in a real apologetic manner. He even admitted the concept of the video wasn't even their first choice.
But I guess Plan B was good enough to get video of the year.

 

I've still got that one on the only CD sized laser disc I own. It came on the Sound + Vision set.

 

How about Kip Winger singing about underage girls in "Seventeen". Nice.

The B-52's "Song For A Future Generation" always makes me smile. No concept, no budget (it was 1983) and it looks like an 80s cartoon or 50s sitcom or both. But it's fun and it (to paraphrase Keith in the song) really "finds their essence from within" (?!):

I think they wore both of those out completely - I for sure got tired of them. That being said, while I don't much care for the song, the video for Sledgehammer was clever and very well done. That must have taken some serious work!
