It sure does! It's a standout track from 1964. (and that was quite a year!)

  11. Nah, nothing "real" to back this up other than rumors. I don't hear John or Paul--the background vocals are pretty much just "ah"'s and could be anyone. The only voice I hear with clarity is Mick's lead vocal.

As for "trolling," I've been posting here for what, 10-15 years? Long time for a troll.

  12. Impressive work! Still, the last part is pulled from a website. I won't really be satisfied until I see it documented in a publication with references to recording logs or, at the very least, written by an author whom we know had access to the studio logs (e.g., Lewisohn).

There's someone here who I trust (well, two people) that are extremely accomplished Beatles authors. I'll ask one or both.

    Well, that is certainly Bangle-esque.

I'm not too familiar with all tones and styles and shapes the Stones could form their voices in spread across different eras, but is that Lennon at the end of the 'More Hot Rocks' version of the song? https://open.spotify.com/track/0aSx9zKW38rpK15Il8QfIa (very end, 4:20).

Interesting because I agree it certainly has an 'Abbey Road' feel to it ' The Good Mr Square' and 'She was Tall, She Was High' and 'She's A Lover' but I also think Parachute influenced Pink Floyd. 'Grass' for instance would not be out of place on DSOTM or Echoes. Furthermore both bands were using the same studios as The Beatles so its no surprise that they were all influencing each other.

Both of the White Duck albums are very Beatle-y. They also had a non-album single "Baby" that was very McCartneyesque--one of the best examples I've ever heard. Can't find it online anywhere. John Hiatt was in this band, but I believe only for the first album.

Here's a nicely Nilsson-esque (hence Beatle-esque) song from Yorick van Norden, filmed in his hometown, Haarlem, the Netherlands. I like this. He's got an album coming out soon. You know him. He's Yorick from this forum. :)

Wow -- just scored this LP recently. "Lonely" sounds like it was written two minutes after listening to McCartney's "Ram" LP, but it was probably recorded around the same time.

I think John Hiatt only appears on the second White Duck LP.
