what's up w/ aluminum center vs plastic center cds

    I know. When I first opened the set (the new John Handy set), it surprised me.

    When I was little, I thought 7-inch singles spun at a different rpm than 12-inch LPs.

    What? The PDO "rot" was bronzing/tarnishing. Silver tarnishes. Aluminum does not. It is possible the ink sped up the process, but they explicitly stated the problem was they used silver and not aluminum.

    What's bad is the aluminum center hub gets scratched real easy from the tray teeth. Even worse, I believe the whole CD is more susceptible to scratches.

    Aluminum to centre sound fantastic !
    even better with green marker round
    the edges !
