I haven't heard it in a while., but I think the song "Genuine Parts I & II" on Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings' Soul Time compilation has a false fade-out.

I was going to post the Lets Active, only I couldn't remember which song it was: Cypress, what a great album!

I think Hendrix's All Along the Watchtower fades out slightly by mistake then comes back in again. I heard someone accidentally did something on the mixing desk and tried to salvage it. Great take so they kept it.

I remember that fake-out from my old vinyl US Traffic "Mr Fantasy" and it's absent from my US version on the Island cd that collects both UK and US versions. However, it preserves the "This Is a Fade, You Missed This" track. On later comps it was just part of a longer "Paper Sun".

Roger Taylor 'My Country I & II' (from Fun In Space). The single version cut the fades and joined the two parts together.

This is the one I always think about when I think about fade-outs/fade-ins. In this case, the fading part is almost longer than the song proper. :)

The HeeBeeGeeBees/Status Quid: "Boring Song". Again and again and again and again... Those who´ve heard the song on the "Never Mind The Originals/439 Golden Greats" album know what I´m talking about. Great album! "Bird of Peace" in particular.
