That would be my third choice after "Third Uncle" and "The Fat Lady Of Limbourg".

But it's all very good. No need to jump tracks on this :)

i wouldn't say 'the best', but it's right up there with 'the true wheel' and 'china my china' i.m.h.o.. btw, i love the playfulness of the lyrics in 'c.m.c.'. simple and enigmatic, some of the best he's written i think.

    cheers,
    rob

Yes and you could also mention "Buring Airlines" or "Mother Whale". I love it all...

The reason i still stick to "Third Uncle" it was something totally new when I bought the record 1974. I never heard anything like it and became almost obsessed. Same feeling as I got hearing "Strawberry Fields Forever" for the first time, or Bowies "It's No Game (part 1) - smiles and goosebumps all over :)

    Cheers

  9. Brian Wilson strikes again - it seems as if his latest solo album, No Pier Pressure, continues the trend of having at least one standout track (though certainly not a highlight!) in Runaway Dancer. Before this, you could also have included the rap song Smart Girls on his rejected Sweet Insanity project, which technically did see the light of day as a promotional cassette issued to radio stations, if I recall correctly...

Fletcher's Blemish on Soft Machine Fourth, sound like something that would have fit perfectly on a Zappa album

    "Love You To" - Revolver
"Within You Without You" - Sgt. Peppers

Adding "The Inner Light" and "Norwegian Wood" would make a great EP.

"Acapulco Gold" by the Rainy Daze sounds like nothing else on the group's excellent album on Uni, "That Acapulco Gold." The other cuts on the album include a couple of covers, and some quite good garage rock. The album is a keeper.

I was going to say that.

I had a friend who worked in a music shop at that point in time. He told me that HEAPS of people returned the cd as it was so not what they were expecting.

    I personally like that album

Has anyone said "Bulbs" on Van Morrison's "Veedon Fleece". Great song but feels akward with the rest of the songs

Always felt Sloop John B had nothing to do with Pet Sounds.
