Two great comedy teams? But who wins? You have to vote for one!

Enjoy them both but I have to give the slight advantage to A&C. Now if the Threr Stooges were on here then I know who my vote would be for. But asking who is my favorite is like asking which child is my favorite!

I think Laurel and Hardy was much more of a cerebral type of comedy

Laurel and Hardy. Growing up in the 1970s, my cousin and I would come home after Sunday School and watch Laurel and Hardy episodes. I would be Laurel and he would be Hardy. I could always do a good Stan Laurel impression, playing with my hair etc, Sometimes the station would also show The Little Rascals. Great television for a kid... or anybody I guess. Good times.

Yup. After the Marxes, I'd take L&H, Keaton and Fields. I understand Chaplin's genius, but I don't warm to his comedy. A&C are funny corny. The Stooges do nothing at all for me.

Oh, this is nearly impossible for me -- I love them both!
I grew up watching an Abbott & Costello movie on TV every Sunday, and ABBOTT AND COTSELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN is a classic that features all my favorite Universal monsters...

But over the years I've come to feel that Laurel and Hardy were slightly more gifted, more natural comedians. So I give the nod -- ever so slightly, mind you -- to Stan and Ollie.

Laurel and Hardy by a country mile. Laurel, in particular, was a genius.

As I said I love them both but was exposed to A&C before I was to L&H so I had to go with A&C. But I love them both, and I love Laurel's voice ... Always makes me laugh!

L&H by a fair distance; original, innovators, and in Laurel, a comic genius.

Absolutely, Laurel & Hardy. They still kill me! From Stan trying to explain something twice (never the same), Oliver's "finger play" to Leroy Shield's jaunty music; arguably some of the funniest films ever made.

I used to love A & C, but for some reason I don't think they aged nearly as well.

Stan and Ollie by a huge margin, although I do enjoy Bud and Lou too.

Both. We do that in our house...we'll watch a L&H short, then an A&C episode.

Back in grade school in the '70s, my best friend and I entered a school talent show and did a L&H type skit. We didn't win, but we did have fun and got a few laughs. But I digress. Way back then Laurel and Hardy was my introduction to the brilliance of classic comedy.
