Great disc, true, but not exactly a bonus since that set was very much priced to include it.

Throwing Muses' Red Heaven is to my taste an underrated album in their catalogue but it came with a bonus disc that was a Kristin Hersh solo concert that's one of my favourite of her discs.

A lot of discs bought from the Grateful Dead store come with bonus discs that are usually of equal quality and very full running time. The one for the Beyond Description boxed set (iirc) is a stunner, thanks to a half-hour version of the rarely-performed 'Blues For Allah' and a nice 'Weather Report Suite'.

Not the best disc but certainly the best example, though, is to me Love Is The Answer by Barbra Streisand which included on the deluxe version a disc of the album without the (subsequently-dubbed) orchestral arrangements: for me, the album with the arrangements is total junk but the bonus disc is actually pretty good.

If Pink Floyd took the bonus live disc from Dark Side Of The Moon, plus the live tracks from the bonus disc of Wish You Were Here, plus the unreleased live Echoes, and put it out as a separate Live At Wembley album, it would be as good as a full-blown album. (Probably would have sold pretty well too!!)

The complete Live At Carnegie Hall 1970 was bonus to Stand Up. Ian Anderson must agree as he just released it standalone for RSD
Agree with the Chateaux D'isaster bonus to Passion Play and Young Vic with Whos Next, just wish they were both complete.
Wish Marillion had finished the bonus disc of demos on Clutching At Straws with Fish.
I'd add the DSotM Wembley 74 live disc.

The Some Girls bonus disc is nearly as good as the album and better than a lot of later Stones records.

The bonus disc to New Order's Movement--which includes brilliant early singles like "Ceremony", "Everything's Gone Green" and "Temptation"--is actually better than the album proper. Also with the Omnibus edition of Bauhaus' Mask, there's a great live album included from the era that would have made a fine stand alone release.

The US-only bonus disc to Saint Etienne's "Good Humor," called "Fairfax High" is every bit as good as its host. All of the tracks from this disc were included on the later UK-only deluxe reissue of "Good Humor."

The live sets from the deluxe editions of

    Slowhand
    Brothers and Sisters
    Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

Due to my already owning multiples and the related cost of these I've only listened on Spotify, but would purchase the live sets if released separately.

The bonus disc of Radiohead's In Rainbows (only available in the limited box set) is short but fantastic.

Probably better than the next proper album, TKOL.

The bonus disc in the Elton John Captain Fantastic Deluxe edition has the 1975 Wembley concert where he played the entire Capt. Fantastic album in full live.

The second CD of the 2013 Deluxe Edition of Fairport Convention's 1975 album Rising for the Moon: a compilation of their best live performances at the LA Troubadour in February 1974 (with Sandy).
One of the most enjoyable and satisfying live Fairport recordings out there.

Essential for Fairport fans, Sandy fans, or anyone else who wonders what the fuss is all about.

I love The Church "Bastard Universe" extra that came with "The Hologram of Baal". I almost never listen to Hologram but I play "Bastard Universe" often.

On James Blunt's Back to Bedlam, I like the bonus disc Live in Ireland (Deluxe edition) better than the album proper.
Jeff Buckley's Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk. Jeff's mother put together Disc 1 after Jeff's death as the closest thing to Jeff's vision of his projected album My Sweetheart the Drunk. The second disc of "outtakes" is, IMO, as good if not better than Disc 1.

The bonus disk on Pulp's This Is Hardcore is like a complete alternate album (a good one), with the great Cocaine Socialism.

No one, I hope. That would be, like, a drag.

Kurt Vonnegut wanted to outlaw semi-colons; he may have been right. :)
