Some great acoustic guitar playing all through John Denver's "Rocky Mountain High" album, but check out this showcase for Mike Taylor, Denver's lead guitarist at the time: "Late Winter Early Spring"

Not a musician you would think of right away, in terms of being a soloist, but how about Richie Furay's acoustic 12 string solo on Poco's Bad Weather.....

Love this sooooo much!! Very Spanish. The whole song is worth a listen but if you don't have the time the solo starts @ 3.25 and ends around 5.00.
