For those who keep track, Setlist.FM is like WikiPedia, never to be trusted, especially not in this stage: 'Listen To What The Man Said' was played.

Very psyched to have Another Girl added to the list as that is one I have started performing over the last couple months, giving me more appreciation for it.

Amex presale came through, but I really dislike ComcastTix. For all the grief Ticketmaster gets, I still think it's the best ticket-buying platform out there.

Agree. I had no trouble with Comcasttix today, but they've been a PITA in the past.

I like the fact that on TM, if you enter the "prove you're a human" phrase once, you can try again for tickets multiple times before you have to enter a new one. Comcast makes you enter a code every time! :sigh:

That was yesterday at Tokyo Dome. It wasn't played tonight at Budokan.

The Budokan show was short - not sure I understand the justification for that - but it was a nice, tight setlist, and the sound and atmosphere were fantastic. It was cool being there for the debut of Another Girl, complete (as usual) with every single original guitar lick in place. Got to Get You Into My Life, One After 909, Dance Tonight and Birthday were also new to the setlist, and it was nice that he opened with Can't Buy Me Love.

Thanks for the firsthand report. Was there video to accompany "Another Girl"? If not, I fear that it might be a one off, a la "On My Way To Work".

 Ehhhh I guess my source from inside, who corrected me after I stated elsewhere he skipped the song again, mixed up all her Tokyo dates then, haha!

Thanks for the report. Must have been an unforgettable evening.

Some tidbits from the Budokan show,
    • The Budokan show was recorded on video by a Japanese (CS or BS) TV crew.
It will be broadcasted on TV sometime (details unknown yet).
    • Paul made a mistake on the last chorus on "New". So the band redone the last bit again!
They probably edit the bit for the broadcast.
    • The promoter provided all the audience with a light with list band.
It was programmed to light up during the slow songs like Let It Be, Hey Jude and Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight. The lights formed Union Jack and the Japanese flag.
    • Paul and the band rehearsed Penny Lane repeatedly but didn't perform it on the actual show. Maybe they'd play it for the European leg?

Possible reasons for the shorter playing time,
    • It is said that the closing time for Budokan is earlier than other venues (10 p.m.?).
    • The rehearsal of Paul and the band were late than expected and the opening time was also late for about an hour. They might dropped some songs from the set.
    • Also said that for a Judo tournament is due to hold the next day at Budokan and they have to remove the set as soon as possible.
    • Budokan show was like a kind of a club gig (albeit large), hasn't Paul's club gigs been shorter than the proper shows?

Cheers for that! I'm looking forward to seeing the TV broadcast.
The show last year that was broadcast on Japanese TV is one of the best Macca live videos I've seen in a long time.
Wish I could have been there.

I read somewhere on this forum that that show from last year had been tweaked in post-production quite a bit (ala the "Live Kisses") show. Can anyone refresh me on where that info came from? I still haven't watched it (having been "out there" twice last summer myself), but may have to reconsider at some point...

The Halifax show remains my favorite of the pro-shot ones that have aired on various international broadcasts so far. Probably because I enjoy the setlist for that one (particularly Mull with the bagpipes). How many of these various shows have there been? And how would others rate them? I think there's one from Kiev, one from Paris, maybe one from Mexico/South America somewhere?

The very first one (I think) was one of the Australian shows in the Fall of 1975 on the Wings Over the World tour. Right?

I'm not talking ancient history, Arnie. If I were, I would've asked the aged and infirm @Glenn Christense to share his memories...

I was meaning more the shows from the last 10 years or so, where an entire concert has been broadcast on pay-per-view or however they do these things. Would be nice to have a list of them. Maybe Glenn can contribute all the B&W shows, if he wants to take a "bingo break". :D

Full pro-shots you mean? There are quite a few, actually. Especially lot from Mexico/South America indeed.

The Tokyo '13 one is one of the rare "television specials" or "release ready" ones, though. And that was indeed tweaked by his team, but nothing out of the ordinary. The vocals are pitch corrected, but manually instead of automatically, so nothing destructive like on 'Good Evening AutoTune City'. It's fine, really. Overdubs etc. is hard to say, but the songs itself are all from one night in Tokyo. It would've been perfect as Blu-Ray, but he exhausted that territory wellllll ago. (So now this is a hot item on the black market as CD, DVD and Blu-Ray. Their own fault.)

Someone in the Another Girl thread mentioned that Paul has played most of the Beatles catalogue live, etc.
