Thompkins? She's one of the few people that know Batman's true identity later on. There's no way she dies in this series.

The good thing about a show like this is they have a ton of characters to draw from. That part was never that central to the Batman story anyway.

Well that's good news, she's a knockout. I don't remember her, but I do know who Jim ultimately ends up with.

It's too bad the show doesn't have Batman in it, as I thought it actually found the right balance between the Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan views of Gotham and the Batman world -- it feels somewhat realistic but with an outlandish edge to it. But the stories weren't really holding my interest.

She's a character from the comics, but she's quite different the comics, where she's an older woman, who helped care for Bruce after he was orphaned.

Only 1 episode left. Favorite new show of the season.

Penguin to me has been biggest surprise.

Gotham is Oklahoma City? When the Ogre called Jim at the apartment, the number came up with a 405 area code, which is Oklahoma City!

    Good to know.

I like how they have retro look but still have cell phones and stuff.

I wished they would early 1990's cell phones, that is one thing that bugs me about the show.

It's a bizarre conceit that they have CRT TV screens, early 1990s cell phones, very limited computers, everybody's driving giant early 1970s gas-guzzling cars, and the city is about five times denser than the actual NYC with a lot of art deco buildings. You just gotta buy into it. Let's assume it's an alternate universe.

The finale was action packed, shocking, and a fine way to end the season.

I missed the first few episodes, did there used to be a vigilante in Gotham?

    Barbra is seriously whacko.
I can picture her as Harely Quinn, but, being Jims wife.
That, will be out of the question all things she said :yikes:
    and did.

My wife and I cheered when Bruce and Alfred found the big secret! What a great ending. Can't wait for season 2.

Finally watched the season finale last night. Really good wrap-up to season 1! I love how they're focusing on the detective aspect of the future Dark Knight Detective. The boy Bruce isn't much of a fighter yet, but he's got those deductive instincts down pat already.

It was also wild to see Selina on board with Fish and her gang so quickly. The whole Barbara storyline is just lame, and I hope it's the last we see of her, ever.

    And...poor Butch! :shake:

Barbara is on the same side of the pic as the villians, interesting.
