Doh! I bought the vinyl version and just played it through once on Tuesday. For the last few days I've just been listening to the mp3 tracks, and realise that the order is all wrong in my itunes. Lonesome Street IS the opener!

Too lazy to read 10+ pages

Are the HDTracks brickwalled as well?

I bought The Magic Whip today and I am thoroughly disappointed. Where are the songs? I think half of it is just OK and the rest does absolutely nothing for me. Even when listening to the more lively tracks I can't shake the feeling that this album is boring to me. This is easily in my bottom three along with Leisure and 13. Maybe it will reveal itself to me after a few more listens but I honestly can't fathom giving it more than two or three more chances. Sad in pants.

There are three on each side of the 2LP. And they're all on the CD, except for an extra one on the JP version. Which you can supposedly find on a UK single.

Well, that makes it pretty clear what you expect. And while this is the same band on some level that made thise songs you like, in many ways it's not the same band that made those songs.

That's cool and I know what you mean but it still doesn't escape that fact that half the songs are unfortunately boring. And I love Blur!

At first I was a bit disappointed, but it`s growing on me. My Terracotta Heart and Pyongyang are up there with their best!

Not exactly but yes I would definitely of preferred that to half the songs on this disc. But then again I don't mistake mind numbing tunes as some sort of artistic growth, a boring tune is a boring tune whether it be on your first or last album.

I'm really happy that they haven't attempted to recreate their Britpop era sound... and great songs never bore me.

This new LP sounds wonderful on vinyl. Excellent pressing, and I love everything about the artwork and packaging. If only they could all be like this.

I found a copy of the vinyl at a local retail store. Was still waiting for my amazon pre order placed in Feb.

I'm in love with this album. Despite blur is my favorite band, I can say without rose tinted glasses that they have yet to make a song I dislike. I played Magic Whip 3 times yesterday, and I rarely repeat the same album in 1 day anymore.

Now to hunt down a Y'all Doomed 45rpm.

I also wish they used the Beagle 2 remix of "Far Out" on Parklife instead of the album version. Poor Alex

I wouldn't go that far! I love that remix, but I think the original fits better on the album.

The songs are there, you have to listen at last 3 or 4 times and the songs will appear. They are great songs, i really like this album. It's Blur!

The album really grew on me, I love about 3/4ths of the album.
