Netflix in Talks for ‘Wet Hot American Summer’ TV Series

Another show following the Arrested Development mold, where members of the ensemble mostly don't interact? I didn't think that was ultimately a great idea for Arrested Development, and I am surprised they'd do it again for another project that, IMHO, has much less steam behind it.

 

In the film there's few scenes where that many of the cast are together, so it's not a fair analogy...

 

I am barely making it through the last (Netflix) season of Arrested..., and I thought the original series was fantastic. Maybe they'll do better with WHAS, though I have my doubts. Not trying to thread crap, I LOVED the movie and rewatched it a hundred times in college.

The movie itself is coming to blu-ray in May and is available for pre-order.

 

I'm glad to see this will include the "extra farts" audio track.

A prequel? So you'll have the same actors, now 15+ years older, playing their characters prior to the events of the film?

I'm not familiar with WHAS and so felt ambivalent about the show, but now that I know Kristen Wiig is in it, I'll give it a try - she's cool. And having David Hyde Pierce in it is a further inducement.

I am dying to see Jon Hamm's character, Falcon.

Also, I had no idea that was H. Jon Benjamin as Can of Vegetables. His voice is so recognizable.
