I was thinking of this last night.:D
Dave , comes back the unrated version.
I find it very stupid of CBS, to not want auction some this stuff off.
for some kind of charity? I don't get the hurry of tearing up the set ?
Is Colbert,? some kind of golden god?
I will laugh if Colbert fails? and finally CBS will have egg on there face.

  9. Sets like this are not worth keeping. It's not valuable aide for some Letterman nerd to costly and tine consuming to sell off unless one company came in to but it all to resell.

Colbert will do just fine and deserves an entirely new set.

Wasn't that the main impetus behind that 80s show Max Headroom? At least I think I remember that the pilot episode revolved around the fact that peoples' heads were exploding because a TV commercial's cuts were so fast!

    Sorry- back to Dave!

Yeah those high speed montages make me nervous. I guess it's a ruse to get you to go to CBS.com to spend some time and pause it.

Colbert needs a new set because his old one was auctioned off for charity (should have done it with Dave's)

I loved Larry's radio show on Mutual from 1978 to 1994. He was MUCH better on radio than he ever was on TV.

    from TMZ...

David Letterman's former employees didn't walk away empty-handed this week -- he dropped thousands of dollars hooking them up with ... wait for it ... custom-made letterman's jackets.

Letterman's final gift to his staff have the words, "Thank you and good night" scrawled across the front. Dave scooped up more than 200 of them ... according to the owner of Golden Bear Sportswear.

Dave's been buying staff swag from GBS for 15 years, and the owner tells us they were contacted last winter, after Letterman announced his retirement plan. She says Dave designed the jacket as a final gift.

GBS wouldn't divulge exactly how much Letterman spent, but the jackets run AT LEAST $300 each ... so you do the math.

Safe to say, Dave can afford it.

I remember it as well. But to your point of it being strange at 11:35, I agree. I certainly wasn't a rabid Dave watcher over the past many years, at least he was there when I wanted to watch after the late news. Not now. I have to choose between the two Jimmy's?! What choices. I chose Kimmel last night because at least I know he won't make the guests act like monkeys and perform for the owner. It's just not the same at 11:35 anymore, let alone at 12:35.
