I have loved her since I was a kid. Her and Jerry Stiller picked up where Nicolls and May left off. A great character, comedic, and dramatic actress.

    I am so bummed. RIP

Same here James. I've always been aware of how some of us are " of a certain age," when that's what I think of, when their child, Ben came up in a movie, or television show.
    Stiller & Meara.
    Rest In Peace.

Funny lady, she walks into a script & I just grin. Anne and Jerry were true partners.

    RIP

I first encountered Stiller and Meara when I happened upon a syndicated TV show they did called Take Five With Stiller And Meara. It was called "Take Five" because itwas five minutes long. They had a short intro and then they'd do a skit. I first saw the show in the summer of 1978 when it followed showings of the Three Stooges in Chicago -- the last show before the station signed off for the night. Wish I could see those again. Of course, they had a long career (separately and together) before and after this, and Ben Stiller is part of their legacy.

EDIT: I just read the obit and saw she was 85. Awesome. God bless her.
