Most overrated bands/musicians (in your view)?

    I have almost every scrap of material Stereolab ever released (which is quite a bit), so obviously I'm overrating them.

    "Check Your Head" is a decent album (their best) but they're still a parody act.

    Lol. I respect him as a songwriter and lyricist, but even then he's overrated. Much prefer his songs when covered by other artists.

    You should ask those hundreds if not thousands of other artists who've covered Dylan songs if he's overrated, even as a vocalist, they'd tell you you're crazy.

    (=acts that are overrepresented on this forum compared to their cultural and/or commercial stature)

    Neil Young, Led Zeppelin
    (=overzealous fans)

    Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters (post 2nd album), Beach Boys, Dave Matthews, The Jam, Oasis, Richard Thompson
    (no clue as to their appeal)
