Alcatrazz - No Parole For Rock And Roll. My favorite Malmsteen.

Personally, I can't stand Alcatrazz. The combo of Bonnet and Malmsteen grates on my nerves. The only Bonnet album I like is the one he did with Michael Schenker.

I love Assault Attack too. I'll just have to agree to disagree with you on Alcatrazz. The production on that Alcatrazz album really blows, though. I had read that Schenker fired Bonnet after the first show because Bonnet got drunk off his ass before going on stage. That's too bad, because IMHO that was the best MSG line up. Bonnet is an aquired taste for sure. Lot's of people I know can't stand his voice.

MTV played them about almost every other hour. This was when Denim & Leather came out and MTV first started ('81?) and needed videos to play. "Denim & Leather", "Princess Of The Night", and "And The Band Played On" all got regular rotation on MTV. You'd see the live "Denim & Leather" song, then they'd go right into Hall & Oates.

I'll have to politely agree to disagree with you on that. IMHO he was one of the worst of his era. But hey, opinions are like noses right, everybody has one.

Success! I do not own that nor does that band ring a bell.

In terms of Wermacht, it seems one of the dudes in that band went on to play in Cryptic Slaughter (underrated & overlooked crossover thrash).

Wasn't one of the guys also in another band that was fairly known in the club scene in the '90s? I used to trade tapes with him back in the '80s and ran into him randomly while he was in another band on tour in the mid 90s and I can't remember who they were...

Cryptic Slaughter were a cool band back in the day. Brian Lehfeldt was the drummer for Wermacht and played on the last Cryptic Slaughter album Speak Your Peace. It wasn't a very good album. I liked the first three Cryptic Slaughter albums (Convicted, Money Talks and Stream Of Consciousness), but even though I own it, I could not get into Speak Your Peace.

P.S. - Rob "Blasko" Nicholson was the bass player on the first three Cryptic Slaughter albums. He went on to play bass for Rob Zombie and has been Ozzy's bass player for the last 12 years.

No one mentioned Lizzy Borden. I never found them to be very popular. (If they have been mentioned on this thread, I missed it. Apology in advance).
