Sounds great to me. Sammy is ageless, Mike and Vic acquit themselves well. The star of the show is Jason who is a absolute beast throughout.

Man that guitarrist using the drill machine on Poundcake sounds as bad as DLR singing....

Does Jason realize he wasn't actually in Led Zeppelin?

Set list is nothing I'm dying to hear. I would have preferred another Montrose tune or two, and an early solo track.

I think it's much better then the Van Halen live album. You can feel it's a band just having fun. The Led Zeppelin covers sound really good.

No but, he sounds as good as anybody covering their songs.

Really? Vic Johnson is a insanely talented guitarist. I am curious to hear it when my cd arrives from Amazon.

That's pretty much my thought. When The Levee Breaks looks interesting, but there's so many Zeppelin songs that would be nice to hear. Sammy doing the same old Van Halen tunes; seriously, When It's Love? How about doing a crushing, slowed down, slide guitar infused version of Cabo Wabo? How about putting that same type of treatment on Feels So Good (am I the only person who likes that song?)?

Sammy is one of the few guys who should have no fear of minimal sales, so take some real chances with the track list. Seems like a totally wasted opportunity.

Oh well, yeah i'm not questioning his talent, problem for me is therea are many Van Halen songs on this album, Sammy and MA are there and when you expect to hear Eddie next it's sound very atypical because Eddie's style is not present that's all.

Ok, I got the cd today and I am bummed that it didn't come with a booklet? It gives a link to download the digital booklet? That is cheap and unacceptable to me. As far as the tunes they are raw and live, I doubt there is much if any studio overdubs.I have to mention that Sammy says "93" a few times at the intro to "Right Now"? That drives me freaking crazy because "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge" came out in 1991. Besides that, it is a fun album for the summer, and great to hear tunes that the VH doesn't play anymore.

Vic has always been terrible covering the VH tunes.
