If you bought a Pono what do you think of the sound?

I was wondering what the people that actually bought a Pono think about the sound.

 

Got a yellow one from Frys on sale for $250. (I had cancelled my Kickstarter pledge for a NY signature player at the last minute. Couldn't be happier with how things turned out.) Love the sound, even better than the Fiio X3 I had that broke.

 

where is the best place to buy them, now?

I bought mine after Apple stopped selling the 160G iPod. The Pono sounds so much better than any of my iPods. Very happy with it. No regrets.

 

If Frys had Ponos on sale at $250 once, it is bound to again I'd think. Sign up for the Frys weekly coupon code email and be patient.

I just mine on Saturday from Amazon. I haven't used it enough to give a fair review. I have a set of balanced cables coming from Surf Cables that were custom made to be used between the Pono and a set of Sennheiser HD800s. They just shipped yesterday and I hope to have them by the weekend.
