Outside of the rock idiom, how 'bout some Dizzee Rascal:

Undoubtedly, one of the catchiest tracks of the past decade

There may be isolated examples but, by and large, he doesn't sound Wales-ish when he sings. He sounds very American.

Dave Matthews would fit the bill, though he's not the least bit British.

this is a perfect example of something more than just 'using a British accent', but a clever stylistic device - note that the two last choruses are sung with a less marked pronunciation, no shifted diphtongs and all

to a lesser extent it's amazing how (Denny Laine's) The Moody Blues quit imitating American English for just one single release Everyday/You Don't, where on the B-side you've got a rare (for pop music) use of the low back vowel in "can't" (no matter what I do I c[a:]n't get anywhere and no matter how I try I just c[a:]n't make you see), perhaps this release was specifically marketed for the British audience

to the names already mentioned in this thread I'm adding the singers from The Scaffold and Martin Gore of Depeche Mode

my favourite example of accent manipulation, sadly bound to be forever unreleased - the crazy version of Two of Us:
