    I saw it Saturday night.

I enjoyed it, but I'd say it is a "Who fans only" deal.

Without knowing a lot of the background going in (my companions didn't), one can easily get confused.

The film wasn't big on dates or explaining how much time passed between major events.

I don't think your post is threadcrap, I think it is a fair, substantiated opinion of the film.

My sentiments exactly -- If you're an ardent Who fan with certain events, characters, and dates burned into your brain, this film worked quite well in digging deeper and providing insight.

But, if you're a new fan or just appreciate the band on a smaller scale, there will be plenty of moments of: "Hold on, what the hell was....?" "All right, that happened after xxx, but before xxx... what? when?"

  4. What was the connection between Stamp and Heather Daltrey?

Saw the film a couple weeks ago here in DC, liked it quite a bit (though I really don't know all that much about the early Who years -- I'm really a much bigger Townshend fan in terms of his solo work, if you can believe it).

Thought the film was really interesting, but a bit slow at times, and the last third maybe dragged the most.

Can't say I could recommend it to everyone, but then pros outweighed the cons, at last for me.

The film made it sound like Heather worked for Lambert & Stamp before she became Mrs. Daltrey.

one thing I didn't like was the director asking Chris questions which were barely audible.

there is a young woman seen in part of the film sitting at the table in the Track Records launch footage.that could have been her.

Being such a Who fan, I'm just surprised I hadn't read that somewhere, but it makes sense if that's true.

Heather was a model in the 1967 Murray the K Show in New York, where Roger and she met. She later moved to London, where their paths crossed again, and that was it. I don't think she ever worked for the management company.

That makes the shots of Stamp and Heather Daltrey more puzzling.

Yes, that had me puzzled. What puzzled me even more was why the used a Blue Cheer song in the soundtrack.

Anyone know if this is On Demand on cable or Netflix etc? It barely played in a theater in the Bay Area and I didn't get to catch it.

Who cares about Davy Jones?....surely you meant Daltrey AND Hendrix (and Jimmy Page for a short while)...she is thought to be THE Foxy Lady the song was written about!
