Took me a while to figure out this was a "Drive My Car" reference!

 

I have always loved this odd little track. Paul should play more deep cuts like this.

 

I have to say, McCartney is pretty generous to his fans. The setlist gets changed up pretty regularly (at least by tour), he goes for deep cuts and fan favorites without ever skimping on the hits that so many have come to hear. And it's not like the guy needs the money. He genuinely seems to still love what he does.

 

I don't care what the arguments may be, but to me, it's time to work in "She Loves You", "I Want to Hold Your Hand" , "Hard Days Night" and a few others. If "Please Please Me" got in, the others should too. It's time.

 

If he does do "Hold Me Tight," maybe he can sing it in tune this time.

 

Has he ever gone from the Beatles "Hold Me Tight" to the Wings "Hold Me Tight" or vice versa?

 

Great to see Ram On making a re-appearance. At the London show, I went through as soon as the doors opened, but had to wait before being let into the arena proper for a good 90 minutes. Luckily, when I arrived I could see a glimpse of Paul doing soundcheck through the door - Ram On included.

I count myself very fortunate indeed to have witnessed the live debut of Ram On in Cardiff 2010, and Temporary Secretary in 2015. Two of my favourite deep cuts.

 

Unfortunately, he never played either live.

 

According to Lewisohn, "Hold Me Tight" was a regular part of the Beatles' sets during 1962 and even into 1963.

You're lucky that I didn't post the 10-hour version instead of just the 2-hour version!! (Yep, Youtube really has a 10-hour version of static/white noise. Do people really watch the whole thing??)
