I knew there was a reason I spun Blues For Allah on the turntable today.

Mickey's always kind of been the rhythm drummer while Bill is the lead drummer to put it into the terms we usually associate with guitarists.

Wow, Trey is just shredding and killin' it! He definitely did his homework to bring this all together with sweet finesse.

Break time! Well, this has definitely exceeded my expectations. The Wheel, Crazy Fingers, and Music Never Stopped were all excellent.

So I guess I am ordering the complete FTW blu-ray set.

  11. Without a doubt, a Hot 1st set.

That was execution-wise conservatively 15x better than anything done yet. Pretty picture perfect from my seat. It was no f&@kin money grab that's for sure.

Feels like a Help>Slip>Franklins or Terrapin or both. Keep it up boys.

Now I have to decide if I spring for the whole set of Chicago shows or just the last one.

More cool break music... anyone know what this is ?

Terrific first aet, terrific sound with everything heard in the mix here in the theater. Glad I opted for 3 nights at the theater! Shakedown to open 2nd set says Karnac.

Bobby stepped up his game. Trey crushed that. Nice. They couldn't have been sandbagging it last weekend so I am not sure what give but don't care. I know everyone in the stadium must be lovin' it but we are having a blast in this theater but just water and snow caps mind you.

Do you guys really think the entire Chicago run is only going to be available in that limited edition set? I'd love to just buy the blu-rays (of all five nights with both Santa Clara and Chicago). I don't necessarily need 12 CDs in addition to the blu-rays for $220. And I still think 7 blu-rays is overkill when this could easily be put on 3 of them. I actually pre-ordered the set and then canceled when I was charged immediately. I assumed I would get charged for it when it came out in November.

This intermission music is killer! Is this the same artist that was used for last week's set break?

Maybe downloads afterwards but that has been their m o on boxes so yes 20 k and then the aftermarket.

PS I hope they have a disc of all these intermission movies and music. This stuff is making me pumped for the documentary.

Listening in a movie theater in Cincinnati. Sound is great, that last threesome of songs was stellar, yes Trey is killin' it and the intermission spacey video thing is neat. Good stuff for sure.

I know its the wrong forum but I also agree this Intermission music is great. It seems to be a solid consensus, i bet it gets some kind of release. In the meantime its readily available on youtube....

I concur, best set so far. practice makes perfect or at least dead 'worthy' i guess.

That's insane considering there are probably upwards of 200,000+ attending all five shows who would want the blu-ray keepsake themselves. I can't believe they wouldn't offer the blu-rays for the commercial market in more than a 20,000 limited box set. Tragic. Certainly not kind.

I'm at Phil's club and we missed the first five songs because of the traffic before the GG Bridge, but really because we were hungry and food was the priority when we got here. They are doing the simulcast in the Grate room but not showing it in the restaurant. (Yes folks, they do serve a Terrspin Cheeseburger here).

Anyway, Trey is doing great! Damn, now I gotta get the blu ray or DVD.
