Let me repeat the question implied in my first post on this thread. How is Pandora able to offer the song St. Dominic's Preview? Have other people heard other VM tracks on Pandora that are not generally available? (Note - the artwork accompanying the song is from the album.)

Is it on a comp? Sometimes the artwork doesn't match the exact release.

what is with you people, is it that once something is mentioned it can NEVER be again? you realize that not EVERYBODY has read EVERYTHING ever posted right?? if you're not interested in the topic, leave it alone

and other words you're probably not allowed to say on here...

What happened was that Van pulled the plug on the reissues, and had the rest of them deleted. At the same time he hopped from record company to record company, Lost Highway to Blue Note, and now Sony BMG.

It's funny because if you would have just searched "Van Morrison" in thread titles, the first thread that pops up was from 3 months ago, and titled virtually identical to this one.

That’s not the point. The point is that the information you might seek gets spread over a quite considerable number of threads with sometimes completely different titles. Some members will repeat their usual post for that topic in most of the threads, so you stumble over them again and again. Others post only once, so you have to read through all of those threads if you don’t want to miss any important information.

This is very time consuming. It would be better if all the information would be in one thread that gets updated if needed.

I’m always amazed at the new threads for a topic that will pop up at least twice a year. Even if the idea seems brilliant to the thread starter, someone else might have had the same thought before.

The search function is not ideal but it isn’t completely useless either: It is a good starting point. If it doesn’t turn up something useful you can always do a refined search with Google using the parameter site:forums.stevehoffman.tv.

What is with you people who are too lazy to research a topic before posting it? You realize that pretty much every topic has been beaten to death repeatedly, and all the information is out there if you take the time to do a very simple search, which will provide you with thread after thread on the subject, which you can read at your leisure, become informed and not selfishly clog up the newsfeed with redundant junk. As for the words you "probably cannot say around here", well, you can research that as well- it's in the rules.

Maybe just giving a link to the previous discussions would've been a better tactic. Perhaps with a message like "The search engine is your friend".
Opinions change, new information is learned, and new people join the forum. If you don't want to be a part of the same discussion over and over, post the link and enjoy your day. Cheers.

I just did a search on ebay for Tupleo Honey and there are a dozen copies for less than $20. Like Smokey said, "You better shop around."

As long as it's not in too recent memory, I don't mind revisiting. It's done all the time.

Regarding Van Morrison, I have a great collection of the early ones - glad I don't have to try for these now.

I find it really strange that certain OOP albums are on iTunes and others aren't. Sounds like Pandora has a similar situation.

Is that you Uncle Van? :D
