I'd love to have the Full Force remix of "Naughty Girls (Need Love Too)" that was the US hit version (not sure about the UK) on CD. I used to have the 7" but Samantha Fox comps always seem to have a different mix to what I knew (and loved). :o

There's so many mixes of Naughty Girls, it's quite dizzying.

My gosh, that's it! Her one hit!

It's all coming back to me now... Big hair, parachute pants, John Mellencamp... uh... Oh well, I love the '80's regardless. :p

Bobby I did a bit of work for Warner on Private Dancer. The 30th Anniversary Edition was my idea and my tracklist, back in 2013. What came out isn't what I'd suggested though. I did also suggest expanded if those two as well, but I wanted archive access for BER for the unreleased songs. Not sure that's ever going to happen.

Yeah, I just looked the song up on Discogs. I'm sure you know the Full Force remix (it's ~4:20 and was used in the video).

Edit: And of course it has the 'Samantha Fox is such a wild dame!' spoken bit and Sam's, uhhh, 'rap'. :o

I remember you saying. I got the 30th Anniversary PD last week, but haven't played it yet. Also got the Definitive Ed of Hand Cut. Haven't tried that yet. Want to see if it sounds OK before I get any more.

I got the Cherry Red versions of her first couple of albums a few years back. Did you work on those?

Yes I compiled them and did all the liner notes.

Oh now why did you have to go and mention that, Bobby? You've ruined my reverie! (crying bitter tears... oh the humanity...)

Hand Cut has a great extended mix of Running Out Of Time. I Hear Talk was my preferred album by them. They're all very nice products but I think that has got to be it with Fizz reissues, there's nothing left.

Aha, I've just seen the Samantha Fox reissue you did on Discogs. I think the "Naughty Girls" remix I'm after must be an edit of the 'Special Extended Version' remixed by Full Force and Tony Maserati. The CD is now on my shopping list. :)

    I would've voted for Mariah Carey but she's from the 90's not 80's. :p

That's a great collection, Samantha Fox. The version you want though I don't think is on there. There's two versions still to make it to commercial CD, that so far are only on the U.S. Promo one. I'm hoping to include one or both in the new project. But yes the one you like is an edit version.

If you search the U.S. Promo online you should find all the tracks to be able to listen to on a couple of sites.

It's a shame they didn't include a DVD with the new Bucks Fizz titles... Same with the 30th Ann edition of Private Dancer.

Yeah, it looks like it was on the US promo CD (track 1, called the 'Single Edit') and the US 7" ('Full Force Mix'). I'm looking forward to your CD! (no pressure ;))

  24. I voted for Belinda Carlisle, Cyndi Lauper, and Stevie Nicks.

My favorite female pop singer of the 1980s is Naoko Yamano but she's not a diva.
