I'd always assumed that was Ruth Gordon as the passerby on the street who tells Alvy "love fades", but there's no credit for her on IMDB and no real confirmation anywhere else.

Anybody know for sure? It sure looks and sounds like her!

I did learn from IMDB that the female half of the "happy couple" is Shelley Hack of Charlie's Angels fame.

And Sigourney Weaver has a tiny role as Woody's date...She's only seen in long-shot, and even her own parents probably wouldn't recognise her !

Boy, if it is her, it's really a well-kept 'in' secret.

I'm sure I know the "vibrating egg" guy too.
Yeah, that's Ruth Gordon. No doubt.

I've always assumed it was Ruth Gordon from the very first viewing.

Another curiosity: Alvy is (sort of) recognized by two Italian guys that he refers to as "the cast of The Godfather". One of the actors was actually in The Godfather.
