And yes, "The Butterfly Collector" their best B-side, should've have been on Setting Sons.

Was recently in a record store and they were playing "Compact Snap," when I got to the register, I asked what was playing (never really listened to The Jam before) and they showed me the CD, which I bought on the spot. I think the cashier was a bit upset because she had planned to buy it, but I think I did the right thing, right?

Not to forget "Mr. Clean," which was a US single.

USA, silver to hub, Polydor. I checked it already, no compression.

It was on some US versions of All Mod Cons. It replaced "Billy Hunt" as the opening cut on side two.

    Got that one!

"The Butterfly Collector" was also included on the Canadian version of Setting Sons.

That's a huge improvement. "Billy Hunt" is my least favorite song on All Mod Cons.

For years I searched for a non-US CD of "Compact Snap" and came up empty.

In 2012, I was in New Jersey and found one at the Hoboken Tunes. In fact, I found two - a WG for US and a Japan for Japan.

Which should I pick? Both, of course!

I felt like a dope buying both, but dammit, I couldn't resist! :D

I've seen the WG for US a few times since then but not J-for-J...

I can't help but have a soft spot for that one because one of my best childhood friends was named Billy Hunt! :)

I made peace with my collector's obsession already, but thanks for the gesture! :D

No problem. These days if I have a great sounding domestic CD, I am happy. Too many other titles to get....

For 21 years my company was called That's Entertainment. I could tell how hip my friends were if they knew it wasn't named after a movie.

Amazing how they were so huge in the UK and did nothing in the US. To this day the only one of their songs I've ever heard on the radio is "A Town Called Malice"!

Same thing in Australia - "A Town Called Malice" was their only hit (#15). I think The Style Council did much better.
