Frederick ended up going away instead going all the way in. Five songs left.....one more must be voted off.

Discussion question - How many copies of Volunteers do you have (or had)?

    I love planes.........jet aircraft
    6 - Hey Fredrick
T7 - Turn My Life Down
    T7 - The Farm
    T9 - A Song for All Seasons
    T9 - Meadowlands

Sad to see Hey Frederick voted out...it's actually my favorite song on the album.

    Once again, Volunteers goes....

How many copies have I had? In this lifetime? So far, one. The 2003 Bob Irwin remaster. Mastering is great, booklet is great, etc. I would like to hear the quad mix sometime... Steve, are you listening?

DQ: 1 US LP (now long gone), and whatever the last CD remaster is.

Might have had it on 8-track, come to think of it...

I have 1 LP - not sure how old, but with the peanut butter & jelly sandwich gatefold, the 1998 CD, and the 2003 CD.

    Close race right now.

I keep voting off Ships. Hard to believe Eskimo is going to take the fall, One of my favorites on the album and far better the Ships imo.

1 lp. Remains in almost unplayed condition. Guess I have to decide one instead of two to vote for now, so it is the title track.

    Eskimo Blue Day.

I've owned just 2 copies, both original U.S. pressings.

Eskimo. For my $ the remaining 4 would be one of the all-time killer rock EPs.

Discussion ?: I had it on vinyl in the late 70s, but not since. I have acquired everything they released up to this, so it's on the short list.

Wooden Ships is out for me. I prefer the CSN version by a good margin, and the next round is where the really painful cuts begin for me. I have 2 copies on CD, although both the same mastering (the 2003, I believe, although I'm not home to confirm). Bought it, and then got another copy of the same mastering when I got the Woodstock CD that comes with Volunteers as a bonus. I used to have an earlier CD pressing bought in the late 80s, but wasn't fond of its murky sound so it's long gone. Have some other Airplane on vinyl, but not this one.

I have this album on three lps (original US, quad, and a German import) and two cds (mfsl and Irwin remaster). Volunteers capped one of the greatest 3-, 4-, or 5-album runs by an American rock band in the late 60s. :D
