Change of Habit is not a terrible movie, and Elvis gives a perfectly respectable performance.

Or are we just listing musicians in movies now?

Change of Habit may actually be Elvis' best acting in a film.

I was going to say Nat King Cole as W.C. Handy in "St. Louis Blues," but I'm afraid this ->
    can't be topped.

I love "Two Lane Blacktop" for it's minimalist, brooding, existential aesthetic.
But even I have to admit that Dennis Wilson and James Taylor are basically talking trees.

    Thanks, pdenny, but...
I'm honestly don't think I could sit through 100 minutes of a movie where Gene Simmons plays 3rd banana to
the likes of John Stamos and Vanity. :righton:

of all the musicians I've seen in movies I really can't find a worst. but, some were most definitely mediocre.

Not a 'bad' performance, per se; but sort of a weird one for it's time...from "Beach Party" (1963)
Check out singer Frankie Avalon at around o:51....he's smoking some sort of cigarette,
but he passes it like a joint to his pal Deadhead (so that's how he got his name!)
I mean, nobody passes a tobacco cigarette, what else could it be?

It's off topic but - hard as it may be, it would be very easy to do it better than was done in that version. The actors were not the problem. I don't remember (a) Sting being that bad. That still picture doesn't help though.

I don't remember the Bee Gees or any of the other musicians being all that good as actors in Sgt Peppers. It that case it was the actors and the script as I remember (a).

    (a) I am NOT going to re-watch either of these to refresh my decades old memory.

I had a feeling that role would get mentioned. Freejack was an odd one, but I thought it worked well enough to watch a couple of times. Jagger wasn't the worst part of that film, and he did OK with a potentially nothing role. Plus, for all you German rock fans, it had Scorpions playing over the end credits.
