Paul McCartney Archive Collection - Tug Of War & Pipes Of Peace coming! (Part Two)

What's interesting from these is that on the sell sheet for POP, it only lists 8 of the 9 bonus tracks (Christian Bop is the one excluded) on the bonus disc compared to what Universal's site has. Curious if that is a typo/oversight on the sell sheet.

Also it's worth pointing out that for TOW, there is still the book edition that is being released, just that there is what they're calling a Super Deluxe Edition where the only difference between it and the regular book edition is the acrylic slipcase and some hand-numbered photo prints. I'm sure there will be a hefty premium for such a limited special edition. Guessing that version will be an exclusive, probably to PM.com.

 

Yes...I guess it is safe to say to say that those are the official track-listings...Bummer!!!

The two sets look incredible. But the real question is: What are the the next pair to be released? London Town and Back To The Egg or Wild Life and Red Rose Speedway.

I see they are returning to the 'linen' covers. To be honest, I prefer the box for the regular deluxe of Tug of War, rather than the plastic box. Would fit in on the shelf better.

 

Wow, am i the only one hearing a huge difference in sound quality with these videos?

 

I don't think so, but the backing vocals on '#9 Dream' were credited to the '44th Street Fairies'

Rather anti-climactic...isn't it...

 

No "coming soon" cards in the vids ...BUT the press release does describe the series as "acclaimed and ongoing".
