Movie remakes that are better than the originals

    The 2010 remake of The Crazies is superior to the 1973 Romero original.

    In addition to those already mentioned:

    Some Like It Hot (1959) - "Fanfaren der Liebe" (1951) and "Fanfare d'Amour" (1935) seem to be virtually unknown
    Victor/Victoria (1982) - similarly, my guess is most folks have never seen "Viktor und Viktoria" (1933)
    Little Shop of Horrors (1986) - I'd say adding music here is what made all the difference

    Rob Zombie's ¨Texas Chainsaw Massacre¨ is 20 times better than Tobe Hooper's original IMHO, which BTW, I found boring.

    Rob Zombie remade "Halloween", not "TCM". Marcus Nispel directed the 2003 "TCM"...

    I enjoy the talkie remake of "The Unholy Three" slightly better than the silent version which is also good.
