    The voice if fine but the backing is horrible and all wrong for the song!

    It's an album I do not know so I didn't know the song but his delivery of 'Life's A Gas' is great

    'Mad Donna' is from 'Tanx'.

    ' Life's A Gas' is from 'Electric Warrior'. The latter is an excellent album.

    Emma did Petula Clark's 'Downtown' on the same album. In fact, I think it was a single too..

    I have about three copies of Electric Warrior so I know it rather well.

    'Life's A Gas' is one of my favourite Bolan/T Rex songs and has been for more than 40 years.

    Tanx is a blind spot

    Judging by that Cilla song cover I think I will pass on that one....

    Agreed. Cilla Black had more power to tackle the "loud" bits, and that makes the song more dynamic.
