    Brass-A-Holics - A Good Night
    Compared to what they sound like live, this is a rather tame version, from their one and only album. I've seen them 5 times in New Orleans and they are my favorite NOLA band. They bill themselves as a Go-G0 Brass Funk band, and they kill it live. Those in the NYC area, they will be appearing at the Apollo Theater on Hollywood night at an after party, following an Irvin Mayfield show. A bit of New Orleans in NYC. I already have my tickets. Cant' wait.

    "Soul Makossa" is a song released as a single in 1972 by Cameroon saxophonist and songwriter, Manu Dibango.
    It is often cited as one of the first disco records. I think it's more funky, early 70's sound.
